With reference to paragraph 2 of Admiralty letter of the 10th March 1904, D.W.1405a/2755, on the subject of
the disposal of a certain area of land around Long Harbour,
Mirs Bay;
I am commanded by the Lords Commissioners of the
Admiralty to acquaint you, for the information of the
Secretary of State for the Colonies, that although no assurance has been given on this point, they assume that no
part of the area in question will be alienated by the
Colonial Government without first consulting the Admiralty.
2. My Lords will be glad to learn that this
course will be adopted.
